Personal: SURPRISE!

My husband turned the big 3-0 last weekend and for years I have been yearning at my chance of getting him with a SURPRISE PARTY! I have never surprised anyone before and let me tell you: the anxiety was at an all-time high. Here are some of the “day-of” projects I contributed to the event. The lighting in the venue was terrible so I turned all of the photos to black and white for your viewing pleasure.

Custom Koozies

I learned a new trick in photoshop: How to turn a raster image of someone’s face into a vector image. I used this photo of Brent on the invitations, the banner, and the koozies.

Photo Display

I scoured pinterest for days of photo display ideas, but couldn’t find anything that acted as an age progression display of Brent’s face. So I came up with this board idea.

Bridal Brunch: Signage + Floral

My mom and I hosted a traditional bridal shower for my little sister in early September, and I was tasked with the decor and the mimosa bar. I lettered a few chalkboards (which will soon be available to rent locally) and I put together all of the floral arrangements (shout out to the Trader Joe's flower section!).  I didn't get to grab very many photos before everything was eaten/used so here's what I have:

Inclosed Letterpress Holographic Foil Stationery

I had the opportunity to provide some artwork for a stationery series for Inclosed Letterpress and the end result is so perfect! You can purchase these note card sets on Inclosed's website. 

Here's what my process looked like before it was pressed onto paper. I'm really working on perfecting my digitizing.
