Housewarming Party: Ice Cream Sundae Bar

Last fall, my husband and I purchased our first home: a fixer-upper in an adorable neighborhood in Omaha, NE. We spent the first six months in the house doing small projects like refinishing the floors, painting over awful blue hues from the previous owners, and adding furniture and our own style to our new home. Once spring rolled around, we decided to throw a housewarming party to show our friends and family all of the progress we've made so far.

We decided to do an open house ice cream social so guests could come and go as they pleased. It turned out to be one of the hottest days in June, so ice cream was perfect. I laid out a kraft paper runner and used my calligraphy skills to set up the ice cream sundae bar. See photos of the set-up below.

Place Tiles

These little pieces of tile were used as place holders for a Lovestruck Events wedding. I used a round 0 brush with Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed-Proof White ink to letter guest names.

Escort Cards in Gold Ink

I am so lucky to be able to work with the coolest wedding vendors in the industry. This escort display was a Lovestruck project designed for the sweetest of brides. The cards were from Inclosed and the crest from the invitation design was blind embossed into the paper. I added names and table numbers in gold ink. Be still, my heart!
